Money Exchange
There is still no bank or official exchange office on Koh Chang, but already a teller machine at White Sand Beach, so-called mini-capital of Koh Chang. And in many hotels and bungalow resorts cash and travellers cheques can be exchanged, occasionally up to a 10% fee. In addition, it is not impossible to obtain money with credit cards at some resorts.

Four full-service banks in the area are the Siam Commercial Bank at the entrance of the White Sand Plaza and sub-Branch at V.J. Plaza, the Bank of Ayudhya, the Thai Military Bank (both near Cookies Hotel), Siam City Bank opposite Alina Resort and on the main street in Laem Ngop there is a branch of KBANK.

For changing travellers cheques, please remember to bring your passport!
Opening-hours are Monday - Friday from 8.30 am - 3.30 pm except on holidays.

Rate of exchange
Best to check directly in the internet. You can expect roughly between 45 and 49 Baht for a Euro, between 65 and 70 Baht for a Pound, and between 37 and 42 Baht for a US-Dollar.
